A Las Vegas man suffered moderate injuries while his passenger was in critical condition after his car struck a wooden pole early this morning, Metro Police officers said.
Jason Palko, 32, was driving on Arville Street just south of Del Monte Avenue about 2 a.m. when his 1988 Subaru XT6 drifted to the right and struck a wooden power pole, officers said.
Palko and his passenger, 24-year-old Jamie Shrago, also of Las Vegas, were taken to University Medical Center. Palko suffered moderate injuries and Shrago remained in critical condition at the hospital this morning, according to police.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the crash.
