Felicia Arguelles

Felicia Arguelles, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 16, 1932, in Manilla, Philippines. She was a retired chemist.

She is survived by her husband, Rupert; one son, Paul Arguelles of San Jose; six sisters, Sue Duncan, Rosa Monzon, Remy Tate and Isabel Valeriano, all of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Maria Elejir and Antonia Yaptimchay, both of Manilla; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 5:30 p.m. rosary Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, followed by burial in Memory Gardens. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Universo Blanco

Universo Blanco, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Havana, Cuba. A resident for 37 years, he was a baker.

He is survived by his wife, Ibis; one brother, Edmundo Blanco of Miami; and two sisters, Maria Diaz of Las Vegas and Angelo Escudero of Miami.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., followed by burial in Edenvale Cemetery.

Eric Brems

Eric Brems, 40, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1964, in Knox, Ind. A resident for 13 years, he was a construction superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Dana R.; three daughters, RaeAnn Brems, RanDee Brems and Rickee Brems, and his parents, Ellen and Edward Brems, all of Henderson; one brother, Edward E. Brems of Greeley, Colo.; and his grandmother, Esther Dye of Henderson.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

William James Cornelius

William James Cornelius, 67, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Los Angeles. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Korean War and Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the American Society For Industrial Security, Amateur Radio Clubs and the American Radio Relay League.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Robert L. Earnest

Robert L. Earnest, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born March 21, 1924, in Oklahoma City. A resident for nine years, he was a retired restaurant owner.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Coral Helen Neal of West Fork, Ark.; five sons, Michael F. Earnest of Leander, Texas, Robert L. Earnest of Pleasanton, Calif., Bill Earnest of Cedar Park, Texas, Jeffrey V. Earnest of Dayton and Charles V. Earnest of Las Vegas; one sister, Joella Cleta Young of Sacramento; one brother, Allen Earnest of Arizona; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Jewell Goldsby

Jewell Goldsby, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 20, 1922, in Griffin, Ga. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired assembler for a manufacturing company.

She is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Barrett of Florida and Gladys Holland of Illinois; and one brother, Charles Willis of Georgia.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive.

Eleanor 'Louise' Haight

Eleanor "Louise" Haight, 81, of Las Vegas died Sept. 11 in a local care center. She was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Chester Township, Mich. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired private home baby sitter.

She is survived by one son, Carl of Las Vegas; one daughter, Doris Woody of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Aileen and Virginia, both of Michigan; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled form 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Estella C. Harris

Estella C. Harris, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1933, in Vicksburg, Miss. A resident for 41 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Willie; four sons, Larry Allen, Danny Allen and Willie Harris III, all of Las Vegas, and Riginald Harris of Oklahoma; four daughters, Linda Allen of Milwaukee, Elizabeth Brown and Tammy Harris, both of Las Vegas, and Regina Harris of Oklahoma; 57 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of God, 827 Balzar Ave., followed by a private burial.

Ethel Hoff

Ethel Hoff, 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired medical supply owner.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Longo, and one son, Neil Hoff, both of Las Vegas.

Graveside services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Frances Honour

Frances Honour, 67, of Las Vegas died Sept. 17 in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 25, 1936, in Atlanta. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired secretary.

She is survived by one son, David Neil of Las Vegas; and one sister, Laurie Werth of Austin, Texas.

Helen N. Morris

Helen N. Morris, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 24, 1926, in Las Vegas. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired business owner.

She is survived by three daughters, Kristine Morris of McLean, Va., and Lynn Morris and Susan Morris, both of Las Vegas; one son, James B. Morris of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be 12:35 p.m. Sunday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Armando R. Negrete

Armando R. Negrete, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1952, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired service deli clerk who worked 25 years with Smith's.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two stepdaughters, Velvet Davidson of Las Vegas and Brandi Moran of Aurora, Colo.; one stepson, Jay Baldwin of Reno; three brothers, Xavier Negrete, Robert Negrete and Raul Negrete, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Darrell Lee Owen

Darrell Lee Owen, 88, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1916, in West Baden, Ind. A resident for seven years, he owned a mechanical engineering company, he was a world traveler and a member of the Shriners and Mechanical Engineers of America.

He is survived by his wife, Helen G. Owen of Portage, Ind.; one daughter, Melinda Rhodes of Ogden, Utah; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services are pending. Burial will be in Portage. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Mildred M. Pilney

Mildred M. Pilney, 95, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born June 12, 1909, in Toulon, Ill. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Blackman of Las Vegas and Janice Krusa of Bluffs, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Roderick B. Rickard

Roderick B. Rickard, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Los Angeles. A resident for four years, he was a retired manager of an insurance company and a member of Theta Chi.

He is survived by his wife, Jean E.; one daughter, Christina A. Rickard of Monterey, Calif.; one son, Michael J. Rickard of Austin, Texas; his mother, Iva L. Martin, and one sister, Sandi Kuiper, both of Apple Valley, Calif.; and one brother, Steven Martin of Simi Valley, Calif.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Victor Watt

Victor Watt, 36, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 24, 1967, in Georgia. A longtime resident, he was a schoolteacher.

He is survived by his wife, Tonjer; his father, Willie George Watt, his mother, Annie Ruth Watt, and one sister, Linda Denise Ingram, all of Hope Mills, N.C.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Columbus, Ga.
