Ronnie Araiza

Ronnie Araiza, 43, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1960, in San Fernando, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a hospital X-ray technical assistant and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rogene Garza; one son, Ronnie John Araiza of Whittier, Calif.; three daughters, Qiara, Monique and Monet; his parents, Claire and Willie Deniz of Sun City, Calif.; and one sister, Catherine Mejia of Temecula, Calif.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Walter Daily

Walter Daily, 69, of Whitehills, Ariz., died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Tennessee. A former Las Vegas resident for 30 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a maintenance company and a Vietnam War and Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Amber Goddard of Bucksport, Maine, and Tracy Rogers of St. Louis; four brothers, Jerry Daily of Benton, Tenn., Kenny Daily of Atwood, Tenn., Tommy Daily of Aurora, Colo., and Randy Daily of Westminster, Md.; one sister, Margie Williams of Caldwell, Ark.; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday in Grapevine Fellowship, 2323 S. Nellis Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Thomas R. Davenport

Thomas R. Davenport, 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born June 22, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for nine years, he was a retired department store manager.

He is survived by one son, Joe Davenport of Fenton, Mo.; five daughters, Rosemary Lovell of Vancouver, Wash., Deedee Davenport, Micky Corder and Kathy Francis, all of Aurora, Colo., and Teresa Badgley of Renton, Wash.; and 13 grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Goshen-Hardy

Dorothy Doane Goshen-Hardy, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in LaVerkin, Utah. She was born Oct. 19, 1921, in Brigham, Utah. A resident for 59 years, she was a secretary at a church adoption agency.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Greggory Hartzke.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherma Hartzke-Buccellato of Pittsburgh and Danna Blad of Hurricane, Utah; two sons, George Goshen and David Goshen, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Shirley Mang of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Sanford Hotchner

Sanford Hotchner, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 19, 1916, in New York City. A resident for seven years, he was a retired textile manufacturer.

He is survived by his wife, Frieda; one son, Mitch Hotchner of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Leroy H. Jersey

Leroy H. Jersey, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 9, 1924, in Rochester, Pa. A resident for 45 years, he owned and operated an auto sales and rental company and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three sons, John Jersey of Harrisville, W.Va., Larry Jersey of Las Vegas and Ron Jersey of Henderson; two daughters, Debra Jersey Klaus of Victorville, Calif., and Bridget Parkington of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Etta Leibowitz

Etta Leibowitz, 88, of Seal Beach, Calif., died Sunday. She was born Aug. 24, 1916, in New York. A former Las Vegas resident for 20 years, she was a retired owner-operator of a butcher shop and a member of Women's American ORT.

She is survived by one daughter, Mintzi Leibowitz of Long Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Herbert Lubin

Herbert Lubin, 64, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 22, 1940, in New York. A resident for eight years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and a member of the Military Officers Association of America.

He is survived by one son, Adam E. Lubin of Las Vegas; two daughters, Lisa J. Harris of Dayton and Rachael L. Lubin of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Edvidge 'Giga' or 'Nona Bise' Marin

Edvidge "Giga" or "Nona Bise" Marin, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for six years, she was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Italy.

She was preceded in death by one son, Tony.

She is survived by one daughter, Clara Pitton Dodd of Las Vegas; one son, Rinaldo Pitton of Italy; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, handled arrangements. Burial will be in Italy.

Jerilyn K. Marshall

Jerilyn K. Marshall, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. A retired airline computer programmer, she was born Dec. 26, 1946, in Los Angeles.

She is survived by her husband, Willie; two daughters, Monique and Jeri; and three grandchildren.

Dorothy A. McHughes, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 27, 1919, in Birds Landing, Calif. A resident for five years, she was a retired airline reservation agent.

She is survived by one son, Rolland McHughes of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

John F. Scaglione

John F. Scaglione, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born March 18, 1932, in Los Angeles. A resident for 25 years, he was a police officer and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, John J. Scaglione, and one brother, Richard Scaglione, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Ned Jack Skolnik

Ned Jack Skolnik, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired entrepreneur in the janitorial business.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; and two sons, Dennis Skolnik of Chicago and Gary Skolnik of Las Vegas.
