Letter: No compassion in administration

We hear President Bush making tons of promises while on the campaign trail. But let's look back on the pre-election promises he made before his current term in office. The only one he kept was the one about cutting taxes.

The compassionate George was gone the day he was sworn into office. He has already done enough damage to this nation. One only has to look at such issues as the economy, environment, national reputation and the plight of the less fortunate, just to mention a few.

As it stands now, it will take generations to get the nation back to where it was when he took office. Four more years would be devastating.
