Health centers are open
The Clark County Health District has four public health centers and 15 satellite clinics open each week in Southern Nevada. A $15 administration fee will be assessed per visit. These clinics will be open through Sunday.
RAVENHOLT PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 625 Shadow Lane, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
HENDERSON PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 129 W. Lake Mead Drive, Building A, Suite 10, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
EAST LAS VEGAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Suite E12, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
NORTH LAS VEGAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 1820 E. Lake Mead Blvd., Suite F, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
RAINBOW LIBRARY CLINIC: 3150 N. Buffalo Drive, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., today.
OVERTON CLINIC: Community Center, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday. A small administration fee may be charged.
DESERT BREEZE CLINIC: Community Center, 8275 Spring Mountain Road, noon to 4 p.m., Friday.
FREMONT MEDICAL CLINIC: 4880 S. Wynn Road, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday. A small administration fee may be charged.
Dance groups to hold ball
University of Nevada, Las Vegas' United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association Dancesport and the Southern Nevada Chapter of the USABDA are hosting a celebration ball from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday in UNLV's Moyer Student Union Ballroom, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.

Job fair set for Saturday
The North Las Vegas Library District is hosting a free job fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the library's main branch, 2300 Civic Center Drive, North Las Vegas, to acquaint members of the community with potential employers.

Bike seminar is scheduled
Anyone interested in bicycle safety issues is invited to attend the Silver State Bicycle Coalition meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Wengert Room of Nevada Power, 6226 W. Sahara Ave.
There will be a short presentation about the coalition and the challenges Las Vegas Valley bicyclists face.

Junior Kids Zone offered
Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is offering a version of its popular Kids Zone program called Junior Kids Zone from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays just for pre-schoolers and kindergartners (ages 4 and 5) at Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway.
Enrollment per week is $90; $160 for two children; $210 for three children. Teacher in-service days and holidays are $20 per child per day.
Designed specifically for 4- and 5-year-old children, the program offers participants a variety of supervised activities, including arts and crafts, games, sports, sing-alongs, circle time and special events. Activities are age appropriate and structured to include all children.
Children must be four years old on or before the week for which they are registering.

Chamber to salute heroes
The North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Salute to Heroes Recognition Luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Texas Station's Conference Center. Emceeing the event will be Gary Waddell of KLAS Channel 8.
Agencies from North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Clark County, State of Nevada, along with military personnel from Nellis Air Force Base, U.S. Army Reserve, and Nevada National Guard were asked to submit the names of those individuals that they felt had gone above and beyond the call of duty.
Those receiving recognition awards are from Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire Department, the Metropolitan Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada National Guard, North Las Vegas Fire Department, North Las Vegas Police Department, Southwest Ambulance, U.S. Army Reserve-257 Heavy Equipment Transportation Company.
