Mommy and Me program set
Snell and Wilmer Charitable Foundation and Tom Williams Elementary School are hosting an open house at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at 3000 E. Tonopah Ave., to celebrate the founding of the Mi Mama Y Yo Mommy and Me program.
The event will feature a tour of the new facility and the unveiling of a mural commemorating the new program at Tom Williams Elementary School.

Candidates night planned for JPs
Charleston Neighborhood Preservation will host a question and answer session for Justice Court Department 9 candidates from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the West Sahara Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.

One Hundred Black Men hosts drive
The Las Vegas Chapter of One Hundred Black Men of America is sponsoring a membership drive at 7 p.m. today at the home of president Larry Mosley, 71 Casa Del Fuego, Henderson.
The organization is designed to improve the quality of life for blacks and other minorities. And to empower young people through mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic development programs. Call Julius Conner at 876-6138.
Job fair on tap at Texas Station
The Employment Guide will host the Fall Job Fair from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Texas Station.
The event will offer employment and career education opportunities, and will assist local area employers find qualified applicants with minimal effort.
The job fair will also provide the most effective way to put employers and employment candidates together in a cost-effective manner.
Participants include sponsors, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group and the Texas Station.
