UNLV athletic director Mike Hamrick gave a big thumbs up to the announcement on Monday that College Sports Television (CSTV) and the Mountain West Conference had entered into an agreement to create a first-ever regional collegeiate conference network.
Mountain West TV, set to begin in 2006, will provide exclusive live telecasts of as many as 40 MWC football games and up to 120 men's and women's basketball games a year.
"I think it's exciting," Hamrick said. "I think what it does is gives the Mountain West Conference a brand --- our own Mountain West Regional network. I think it's a great addition."
