Letter: A proud recovery

WEEKEND EDITION
September 11 - 12, 2004
On September 11 in the early morning
hours,
Two large jets flew into the twin trade
towers,
Causing a mass destruction, as we
watched in disbelief,
Killing thousands of loved ones, and
causing so much grief.
As the bodies lay crumbled beneath the
rubble that day,
Who could ever imagine that anything
could happen that way.
The freedom we love, and so many desire,
Was severely shattered within one short
hour.
Our country was built while shedding
blood, sweat and tears,
And we will rebuild it again in the next
few years,
Because we are Americans, and we're
still proud to say,
It sure is great living in the USA.
