Radiation expert to speak at Atomic Testing Museum

Antone Brooks, professor of radiation toxicology at Washington State University/Tri-Cities, will be the featured speaker at the Atomic Testing Museum's ongoing world affairs lecture series at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The museum is located in the Desert Research Institute's Frank H. Rogers Science and Technology Building, 755 E. Flamingo Road.

Brooks will describe his days of chasing fallout in southern Utah through his scientific pursuit of the potential health effects from these exposures. Emphasis will be given to recent advances in technology and cell and molecular biology that define how radiation interacts with living systems.
