Deborah Ann Bell

Deborah Ann Bell, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 9, 1951, in San Pedro, Calif. A resident for 14 years, she was a licensed, hospital vocational nurse.

She is survived by her father, Robert Bell, and one sister, Rebecca Bell, both of Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

James Bowens III

James Bowens III, 55, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He worked in the insurance industry and was born Nov. 4, 1948, in Long Beach, Calif.

He is survived by one son, James Bowens IV of San Diego; his mother, Ercell Bowens of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Billie Bowens of Los Angeles and George Bowens, both of Los Angeles; two sisters, Herlinda Bowens of Highland, Calif., and Yoriko Bowens of Whittier, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Irene Dombo

Irene Dombo, 82, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born June 6, 1922, in Annapolis, Md. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Henderson Senior Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Helmprobst of Henderson and Louise Woo of Oceanside, Calif.; two sons, William Dombo of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and George Dombo of Farmingville, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Macario Favela

Macario Favela, 60, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. A metal grinder, he was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Mexico.

He is survived by his companion, Maria Luisa Gonzalez of Las Vegas; two sons, Miguel Favela and Modesto Favela, and one daughter, Maria Gomez, all of Illinois; two brothers, Sacramento Favela of Mexico and Pedro Favela of Illinois; and three sisters, Maria DeLaCruz Favela and Josefa Vizcarra, both of Illinois, and Guadalupe Favela of Mexico.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Illinois.

Richard Joseph Granda

Richard Joseph Granda, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Wills Point, Texas. He was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Birmingham, Mich. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired PBX operator for Centel telephone.

He is survived his wife, Agnes Sue; four daughters, Sharon Fuller of Hemet, Calif., Deborah Rachel Gallegos of Albuquerque, Laurie Akers of Las Vegas and Daina Valentine of Wills Point, Texas; two brothers, David Granda and Bob Granda, both of Michigan; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday in Sunrise Southern Baptist Church, 1780 Betty Lane. Graveside services will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Julie Hanser

Julie Hanser, 63, of North Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Huntington, W.Va. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; and one sister, Louisa Payne of Marshall, Va.

A memorial service was scheduled at 9 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services were private.

Kent Harding

Kent Harding, 43, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born July 11, 1961, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a commercial loan officer, a member of the Eagle Scouts, past president of the Green Valley Rotary Club and served a two-year LDS mission in Chile.

He is survived by his wife, Lindy; one son, Brandon Harding, one daughter, Brittany Harding, his father, Shirl Harding, and his mother, Lorine Harding, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jeff Harding of Las Vegas and Brent Harding of Encino, Calif.; and one sister, Shirline Baltzley of Helena, Mont.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Warm Springs Stake Center. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Dellamae S. Hummer

Dellamae S. Hummer, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Beverly, S.C. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired drapery seamstress and past president of NCO Wives Club at Nellis Air Force Base, North Las Vegas Emblem Club 427 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of the Department of Nevada 1983-84.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene F.; two daughters, Marylou D. Rollins and Donna Lee Stone, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to a 10 a.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Lois B. Krueger

Lois B. Krueger, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Krueger of Las Vegas; one daughter, Terri Adelin of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Diane T. McKinnis

Diane T. McKinnis, 55, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1949, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 54 years, she was a laborer and a member of Laborer Local 872.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W.; one daughter, Katrina Eldridge of Greeley, Colo.; two sons, Michael McKinnis of Tonopah and Robert McKinnis of Henderson; her mother, Ila Jean Tobler, and three sisters, Linda Baer, Karen Scoble and Lisa Williams, all of Henderson; one brother, David Tobler of Montrose, Colo.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Ocean Street chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Yohanna Oropez

Yohanna Oropez, 24, of Las Vegas died Aug. 26 in Las Vegas. She was born May 7, 1980, in Mexico. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Little Rock; two sons, James and Jesten, and one daughter, Jovanna, all of Las Vegas; her father, Fidencio Osuna of Mexico; two sisters, Paola and Mila; and one brother, Orlando.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Ronald B. Scarlet

Ronald B. Scarlet, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A master plumber, he was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Salt Lake City.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A.; three daughters, Rondie Scarlet, Barbara Karp and Debbie Bradbury, and two sons, Fredric A. Scarlett and William Trent Scarlett, all of Las Vegas; one brother, David Scarlet of Bountiful, Utah; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Katherine Mae Schemenauer

Katherine Mae Schemenauer, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 24, 1962, in Michigan. A resident for 33 years, she was a 21 dealer.

She is survived by one son, Christopher Lee Apadoca; her mother, Shirley Schemenauer; two brothers, Gordon Eugene Schemenauer and Henry Harold Schemenauer; and one sister, Wanda Kay Bailex.

A memorial service will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Deloris 'Dee' Schreiner

Deloris "Dee" Schreiner, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Russell, Kan. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired church secretary and a member of Catholic Daughters of America, 1332 St. Jude's Circle.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; one daughter, Denise Gonzalez of Las Vegas; one brother, Bob Kastrup of Glen Elder, Kan.; two sisters, Betty Standlee of Ellenwood, Kan., and Peggy Jones of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Thomas Louis Sobel

Thomas Louis Sobel, 61, of Las Vegas died Aug. 20 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 29, 1942, in Illinois. A resident for three years, he was a retired hairstylist and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He is survived by one son, Drake Sobel; one sister, Stephanie Montalbano; and two grandchildren.

Douglas Everett Wacaser

Douglas Everett Wacaser, 20, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A student, he was born Dec. 4, 1983, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Cristin; his father and stepmother, Niel and Rosangels Wacaser of Henderson; his mother and stepfather, Kelly and Steve Brockman, and one sister, Dayle Wacaser, all of Las Vegas; and his grandfather, H. Everedt Wacaser of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 9 a.m. service Friday in Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 55 E. Reno Ave., 5719 E.
