Because of an error by the Sun, a story in Tuesday's Metro section incorrectly stated the date that authorities made a sweep of shopping carts, which were used by the homeless, outside the Salvation Army's downtown facility. The sweep happened in September 2003. The Sun regrets the error.
* Because of errors by the Sun, a story in Wednesday's editions incorrectly stated Tyrus W."Ty" Cobb's experience in the government. He was a national security adviser to President Reagan. The story also incorrectly stated his view on Iraq. Cobb said there has been considerable progress in Iraq, but he said there is a concern that public opinion will shift against the president in the next year if there is not more visible progress in improving security there. The Sun regrets the errors.
* Because of an error by the Sun, a headline and story in Thursday's Metro section incorrectly stated the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada's plans regarding a Nevada Supreme Court ruling that affects free speech and political activity.The ACLU expects to take on the ruling in a future case in federal court but is not planning to directly appeal the ruling, Gary Peck, the organization4s executive director, said. The Sun regrets the error.
