Ducks Unlimited plans extravaganza
The Las Vegas Chapter of Ducks Unlimited is hosting its annual Sportsman's Extravaganza banquet Thursday, beginning with cocktails, raffles and a silent auction 5:30 p.m. in the Mardi Gras Ballroom at the Orleans, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
A live auction will follow dinner. Some of the auction items include hand crafted duck decoys, limited edition paintings, rifles, shotguns, watches, and other Ducks Unlimited collectibles. All proceeds benefit Ducks Unlimited and the conservation of wetlands in Nevada and the Pacific Flyway.
Tickets are $100 per person; $500 per sponsor member; $1800 for a corporate table of 10.

Gift of Lights set at Sunset Park
The fourth annual Gifts of Lights will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, beginning Thursday through Jan. 2 at Sunset Park.
The entrance to the attraction is off Warm Springs Road. Admission is $12 per vehicle per vehicle with a special admission discount of $2 off when patrons donate a bag of gently used items to Goodwill of Southern Nevada.
