Forrest Aldabbagh
Forrest Aldabbagh, 19, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Feb. 11, 1985, in Phoenix. A resident for eight years, he was a night club manager.
He is survived by his father, Omar Aldabbagh of Las Vegas; his mother, Sarah Barth of Westminster, Colo.; his stepmother, Deanna Goble of Phoenix; four sisters, Tabatha Aldabbach-Sanders and Gabrielle Aldabbagh, both of Las Vegas, and Brandi Case and Cierra Rose Barth, both of Westminster; six brothers, Reno Aldabbagh of Las Vegas, Jesse Case, Luke Case and Kolton Barth, all of Westminister and Christian Hardman and Jace Hardman, both of Phoenix; and his grandmother, Sedeqa Aldabbagh of Baghdad.
Visitation was scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Giovanna Arcuri
Giovanna Arcuri, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 2, 1914, in New York City. A resident for many years, she was a garment pattern maker.
She is survived by one son, Vincent Arcuri of Hicksville, N.Y.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Firaw Arega Aregu
Firaw Arega Aregu, 38, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 28, 1966. A resident for many years, he was a salesman at an antique shop.
He is survived by his parents, Arega and Mentewab (Dange) Aregu of Washington, D.C.; and one sister, Konjit Arega of Alexandria, Va.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
James A. Blanche
James A. Blanche, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 6, 1920, in Marydell, Md. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired retail business owner, a World War II Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Italian-American Club, American Legion, NOTCH and Fraternal Order of Policemen.
He is survived by one son, James A. Blanche, and one daughter, Dorothy Blanche Taylor, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Charles Blanche of Florida; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 2-5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.
Helen DiGiovanna
Helen DiGiovanna, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 19, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired retail distributor and a member of Sun City's Women's Card Club.
She is survived by her husband, Pat; three sons, Jim DiGiovanna of Franklin Square, N.Y., Jerry DiGiovanna of East Meadow, N.Y., and Jack DiGiovanna of Morrisville, Pa.; two daughters, Patricia Dyckes of Pipersville, Pa., and Joan DiGiovanna of Albuquerque; one brother, Gerard Golden of Phoenix; one sister, Dorothy Jellig of Vista, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will follow at noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 4830 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Margie C. Gentile
Margie C. Gentile, 74, of Las Vegas died April 24 in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired wedding chapel hostess.
She is survived by one son, George Hostal; two daughters, Roberta Hendrickson and Diane Vargin; three brothers, Nick Gentile, John Gentile and James Gentile; two sisters, Antonette Gentile-Linhart and Jenny Armeni; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Regalado V. Golez
Regalado V. Golez, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 4, 1915, in the Philippines. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Beata Hidrosollo and Agnes Lauron, both of Las Vegas, and Dottie Nauarra of the Philippines; three sons, Edwin Golez and Ignacio Golez, both of the Philippines, and Cornelio Golez of Guam; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday and Monday with a 5 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Marilyn Jackson
Marilyn Jackson, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 8, 1915, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Faith Goldenhar of North Hollywood, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Catherine T. Powers
Catherine T. Powers, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born June 25, 1915, in Venice, Ill. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired telephone operator.
She is survived by one sister, Ernestine Pendleton of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Paul M. Schumacher
Paul M. Schumacher, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for four years, he was a retired contractor and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; two sons, Martin Schumacher of Ramona, Calif., and Michael Schumacher of Las Vegas; one daughter, Diane Johnson of El Cajon, Calif.; two brothers, John Schumacher of Las Vegas and Frank Schumacher of West Virginia; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Helen Seeder
Helen Seeder, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired electronics technician.
She is survived by one daughter, Kristina Remakel, and one son, John Ceremuzynski, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Kristina Klimek of Des Plaines, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. A memorial service will be held in Chicago. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Evelyn 'Nana' Stattman
Evelyn "Nana" Stattman, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1923, in New York City. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Harry Stattman of Las Vegas; two daughters, Joan Laicato of Corona, Calif., and Joyce Desio of New York; nine grandchildren; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 1-5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Thomas R. Sudduth
Thomas R. Sudduth, 46, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 29, 1957, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, he was a landscaper.
He is survived by his parents, William and Naomi Sudduth; two brothers, Robert Sudduth and Dennis Sudduth; and two sisters, Jayne Luebstorf and Debbie Jones.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Monday in Palm Memorial Park.
Edith Zucker
Edith Zucker, 81, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynda Merrill, and one son, David Zucker, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
