Sharon Kay Amato

Sharon Kay Amato, 46, of Henderson died Dec. 24 in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1957, in Denver. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired motor home saleswoman.

She is survived by one daughter, Gina Marie Amato, and her mother, Shirley Sullivan, both of Henderson; one brother, Michael Szymborski of Bessimer City, N.C.; and two stepbrothers, Jeffery Sullivan of Salt Lake City and Patrick Sullivan of Modesto, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 1-2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Kathleen Ann Anderson

Kathleen Ann Anderson, 69, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. A licensed practical nurse, she was born Aug. 28, 1934, in Medford, Wis.

She is survived by her husband, James Jerry Sr.; four sons, James Jerry Anderson Jr., Ethan Eric Anderson and Sean Michael Anderson, all of Las Vegas and William Mark Anderson of Tennessee; four daughters, Cathy Marie Hulen of Texas, Patricia Jean Stevens and Shannon Mary Tolbert, both of Las Vegas, and Elizabeth Ann Farrar of Henderson; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.

Genevieve Chavez

Genevieve Chavez, 64, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born June 19, 1939, in Williams, Ariz. A resident for eight years, she was a retired factory worker in the medical industry.

She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Paul Chavez Jr.

She is survived by one son, Frank Alvin Chavez of Flagstaff, Ariz.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St.

Sequoia R. Davis

Sequoia R. Davis, 14, of Las Vegas died March 18 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 19, 1989, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her father, Anthony Adams, her mother, Kashun Davis, and two sisters, Temikiya Davis and Ebonee Adams, all of Las Vegas; six brothers, Renaldo Davis, Isaac Reed, Kyriell Davis and Miles Davis, all of Las Vegas, and Anthony Adams Jr. and Antonio Adams; and grandmothers, Linda Davis and Dorothy Adams, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Marjorie Flemming

Marjorie Flemming, 75, of Laughlin died Monday in Laughlin. An apartment manager, she was born Dec. 4, 1928, in Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, Paul E.

Rita Lynn Konigsbauer

Rita Lynn Konigsbauer, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. A hotel administrative assistant, she was born April 1, 1947, in White Salmon, Wash.

She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly M. Konigsbauer of Palatine, Ill.; one son, Paul Stephen Konigsbauer of Effingham, Ill.; one brother, Conway J. Polites of Lake Zurich, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Robert W. Murdock

Robert W. Murdock, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 12, 1931, in Hammond, Ind. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired tavern owner-operator, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara M. "Marcki"; four daughters, Annette B. Cook and Troy A. Sawyer, both of Las Vegas, Rita M. Wilhelm of Tacoma, Wash., and Teri Schaefer of Oshkosh, Wis.; one son, Bill Murdock of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

John M. Obadal

John M. Obadal, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 11, 1937, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired schoolteacher, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of Las Vegas, the Doberman Pinscher Club of America and the Neon Agility Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sima; one son, Bradley Eng-Kohn of New York City; one brother, Anthony Obadal of Georgetown, Va.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Norma Jean Powell

Norma Jean Powell, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 18, 1928, in Indiana. A resident for five months, she owned and operated a dry cleaning business.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Pellegrino of Las Vegas; one son, John Powell of La Honda, Calif.; one sister, Mildred Doley of Sarasota, Fla.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Frank Roszyk

Frank Roszyk, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Cicero, Ill. A retired airline captain, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in The Lakes Lutheran Church, 8200 W. Sahara Ave.

Maurice Shantell Slack

Maurice Shantell Slack, 30, of Las Vegas died March 23 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1973, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a cook at the Las Vegas Detention Center.

He is survived by his mother, Deloris Gibson of North Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Thurston and Jessie Slack of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Full Gospel Temple, 817 Carey Ave., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Hilda F. Stodard

Hilda F. Stodard, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Tyro, N.C. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired restaurateur.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Billy; and one son, John Fisher of Ocean Springs, Miss.
