TUCSON, Ariz. -- UNLV's Ryan Moore saw his lead trimmed from four strokes to one Monday, but retained the top spot in the National Invitation Tournament after shooting 1-over-par.
Moore, who shot a 64 in Sunday's first round, was at 7-under and led three players by one stroke after shooting his first competitive round over par since October.
The Rebels remained in the middle of the pack in the team standings. A 5-over 293 pushed their two-day total to 3-over for the tournament, good for sixth place, 13 shots behind leader Arizona State.
Freshman Sam Hunt shot UNLV's best round of the day, a 71 that put him in a 28th-place tie with UNLV teammate Travis Whisman, who had a 74. Ryan Keeney completed UNLV's team scoring with a 75.
Third-round play is today.
