Tony L. Ainsworth

Tony L. Ainsworth, 39, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 28, 1964, in Los Angeles. A resident for 12 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his parents, Leroy and Alice Ainsworth of Las Vegas; and four brothers, Derrell Ainsworth of Texas and Quincy Ainsworth, Rochun Ainsworth and Tulley McDonald, all of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Marvin D. Andrews II

Marvin D. Andrews II, 63, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 24, 1940, in San Diego. A resident for nine years, he was a retired social worker and was a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one son, Arthur Francis Jr. of Henderson; two daughters, Adrianne Robertson of Las Vegas and Candice M. Alfonso of Piscataway, N.J.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. Graveside service will be private.

Juanita E. Astorg

Juanita E. Astorg, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. A retired licensed practical nurse, she was born May 19, 1929, in Monroe County, Ind.

She is survived by one son, Nick Wyckoff, and one daughter, Jennifer Ortiz, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Kenny Mullis and Ron Mullis, both of Henderson; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Edie Barker

Edie Barker, 61, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Texas. A resident for 61 years, she was a retired city government recreation director.

She is survived by two brothers, Bob Barker Jr. of Las Vegas and Frank Barker of Topack, Ariz.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, 102 E. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson, NV 89015.

Song Chau

Song Chau, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1951, in Phu Tam, Vietnam. A resident for 14 years, she was a dealer.

She is survived by her husband, Tam Ly; one daughter, Thuy Ly, one son, Quoc Ly, and two sisters, Pnung Chau and Ngoc Chau, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ronald Dahl

Ronald Dahl, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 2, 1940, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for three years, he was a machine operator.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; and one daughter, Sandi Ross.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. Thursday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be private.

David Robert Deeter

David Robert Deeter, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 18, 1939, in Indiana. A resident for six years, he was an automobile mechanic, an Army veteran and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He is survived by one son, Robert; four daughters, Peggy, Sunshine, Joan and Laura; three brothers, Michael, Jim and Tim; four sisters, Marilyn, Donna, Margaret and Rachel; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Amos A. Elliott Jr.

Amos A. Elliott Jr., 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Abilene, Texas. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, retired Metro Police deputy chief, a member of the Reserve Officers Association of America, Okinawa Lodge 118 F&AM, Knights of Columbus, Las Vegas Police Protective Association, Military Police Association, Nevada Peace Officers Association, National Rifle Association, American Legion Police Post 55, Zelzah Shrine, Scottish Rite Lodge, El Bekel Police Shrine Club, Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Fraternal Order of Police Las Vegas Lodge 1 and Goldwing Riders Association.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeannette; five daughters, Linda Elliott and Nanette Shelton, both of Las Vegas, and Carol Elliott, Kathryn Elliott and Laura Elliott, all of Seattle; one son, Allen Elliott of Tonopah; one brother, John Elliott of St. Hedgewig, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

David Farris

David Farris, 69, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 27, 1934, in East Walpole, Mass. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired radar systems manager and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; three sons, Michael Ranney of Cypress, Calif., Keith Farris of Madera, Calif., and William Raney of Durham, N.C.; two daughters, Debra Amaro of Gilroy, Calif., and Nancy McDonald of Santa Cruz, Calif.; his mother, Margaret Farris of Cary, N.C.; three brothers, Arthur Farris of Mansfield, Conn., Donald Farris of Berwick, Maine, and Ken Farris of East Walpole; three sisters, Janet Richard of Morrisville, N.C., Linda Phaneuf of Tauntton, Mass., and Ellen Deorsay of Huntington, N.Y.; and 12 grandchildren.

Leroy Gammage

Leroy Gammage, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 10, 1933, in Forest, Miss. A resident for 45 years, he was a truck driver for a sand and gravel company.

He is survived by his wife, Josie; two daughters, Patricia Tucker of Alabama and Precious Seaneen Gammage of Las Vegas; three sons, Larry Gammage, Lee Arthur Gammage and Michael Gammage, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Reatha Gammage of Gary, Ind., Mary Moore of Lake, Miss., and Clarice Pope of Morton, Miss.; one brother, Ollie Gammage of Forest, Miss.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Harriet Gordon

Harriet Gordon, 68, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A self-employed bookkeeper, she was born April 15, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, Martin; three daughters, Michelle Nicotera of Virginia, Melanie Talsky of San Francisco and Cherly Dorfman of Woodland Hills, Calif.; one brother, Marvin Eisenberg of Phoenix; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services were Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Salvador Mancha

Salvador Mancha, 50, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 27, 1953, in Mexico. A resident for 33 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by two daughters, Gabriela Mancha and Elizabeth Castro, one son, Marcos Mancha, and four brothers, Victor Mancha, Mario Mancha, Mauricio Mancha and Miguel Mancha, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Maria A. Rangel and Maria E. Payan, both of Las Vegas, and Adela Garcia and Graciela Del Real, both of Texas; and one grandchild.

Services will be 5 p.m. Thursday in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Floyd Cecil Martin

Floyd Cecil Martin, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Kentucky. A resident for 42 years, he was a maintenance man and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Sue Martin of Las Vegas and Lorrie Ann Etter of Indiana; one son, Walter Cecil Martin of Las Vegas; two brothers, Ottis Martin of Tennessee and Stanley Martin of Kentucky; one sister, Alma Faulkner of Kentucky; and five grandchildren.

American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.

Ernesto L. Masancay

Ernesto L. Masancay, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. An Orleans kitchen worker and a World War II Army veteran, he was born July 28, 1928, in the Philippines.

He is survived by his wife, Lourdes; seven children, Edward Masancay, Jocelyn Leal, Susan M. Agtarap, Tessie M. Masancay, Thelma M. Retuba, Ernesto Masancay Jr. and Rodel M. Masancay.

Services will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

V. Helena 'Helen' Mrok

V. Helena "Helen" Mrok, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Tiffin, Ohio. A resident for 16 years, she was a ladies apparel purchasing executive and a member of various polka clubs.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Frank; and two sisters, Betty Maki of Michigan and Wladzia Mitlaszewski of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. Mass Friday in Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer, 55 E. Reno Ave.

Mary O'Neill

Mary O'Neill, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Athlone, Ireland. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired nurse.

She is survived by one daughter, Yvonne Perkins of Las Vegas; one son, William O'Neill, and one sister, Kathleen Brown, both of England; and two grandsons.

No local services are scheduled. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Sonia Patterson

Sonia Patterson, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Aug. 23, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for 17 years, she was an ice cream shop owner.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Farnsworth of White Water, Wis., and Roberta Bellis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Jean Hilbruner of Paddock Lake, Wis., Mary Joan Korpela of Munising, Mich., and Janet Stallings of Ward, Ark.; two brothers, Ron Severin of Las Vegas and Arthur Severin of North Lamont, Ill.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

John Paul Pitoniak

John Paul Pitoniak, 59, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 6, 1944, in St. Andrews, Scotland. A resident for 43 years, he owned a glass company and was a former member of Local 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; one son, Ron Pitoniak of Key West, Fla.; his mother, Janet Pitoniak of Las Vegas; and one grandson.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Dolly Roland

Dolly Roland, 95, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born June 19, 1908, in Clearwater, Minn. A resident for six years, she was a retired supervisor for a manufacturing company.

She is survived by her husband, Irving; three daughters, Betty Swanson, June Grosenick and Shirley Sabasko, all of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Albert Seastrunk

Albert Seastrunk, 97, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 15, 1906, in Louisiana. A resident for 65 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by two daughters, Fannie Turner and Lenona, both of Las Vegas; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
