Whole birth yoga classes are scheduled
The Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, 100 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite No. 330, is offering whole birth yoga classes from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays at St. Rose Dominican Hospital's Siena Campus.
Benefits of the class include learning healthy ways to relax before and during labor; practicing effective skills for coping with pain and addressing emotional concerns of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.
Admission is $10 per class or six classes for $50.

Golf will benefit pharmacy scholarships
In an effort to provide its students with scholarships, the Nevada College of Pharmacy is holding its forth annual scholarship golf tournament at 7 a.m. April 26 at the SouthShore Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas.
Additional sponsorship opportunities are available, including tee signs and program recognition.
The Nevada College of Pharmacy is a private institution that offers a doctor of pharmacy degree.

The Latin Chamber of Commerce
Community Foundation will hold its 19th annual student scholarship ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Monte Carlo's Grand Ball Room, to announce the scholarship recipients. Dr. Maurice Flores will be the guest speaker. Admission is $35. For more information, call 385-7367.
The Jewish Community Center
invites families to participate in an 18-hole putting course at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Angel Golf Park, 100 S. Rampart Blvd. Admission is $10; $7 for children. Call 794-0090 to register.
Three nationally known death penalty
abolitionists will talk about the injustices of the death penalty from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Flora Dungan Humanities Building, Room 109 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Speakers will be Juan Melendez, Bill Pelke, Abe Bonowitzs and Nancy Hart. For more information, call 791-1965.
