Daniel J. Cronan

Daniel J. Cronan, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1939, in New York. A printing business owner, he was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Poker Players Association.

He is survived by one son, Barry Cronan; one daughter, Irene Hoyle; one brother, John Cronan; and three grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Clifford L. Davis Jr.

Clifford L. Davis Jr., 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Muskogee, Okla. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired high school principal and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruthie M.; three daughters, Claire Hayter of Long Beach, Calif., Kimberly Davis of Los Angeles and Mary Davis of the Bronx, N.Y.; one stepdaughter, Angela Thomas of Las Vegas; one stepson, Daron Thomas of Apple Valley, Calif.; one sister, Betty Hollowell of Las Vegas; one brother, Milton Davis of Elmira, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Donald Feller

Donald Feller, 56, of Las Vegas and Morton, Ill., died Saturday in Las Vegas. A service technician for a television repair shop, he was born Sept. 17, 1947, in Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth.

Janice Irene Klein

Janice Irene Klein, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 17, 1944, in New Jersey. A resident for eight years, she was a schoolteacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Erica Klein of Houston; and one sister, Harriet Grant of Boynton Beach, Fla.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Samuel Leigh

Samuel Leigh, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1928, in Michigan. A resident for four months, he was a sales representative in the construction industry and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Marcie Novak; one son, Aaron Glen Leigh; one brother, Thomas Leigh; and one sister, Marion Goldman.

Melvin Maziar

Melvin Maziar, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired upholsterer for a drapery company, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes; one son, Jack London of Las Vegas; two daughters, Patti Zdunowski of Henderson and Judith Armstrong of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jules Maziar of Henderson and Glenn Maziar of California; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-noon Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Theodore W. Minfer

Theodore W. Minfer, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 24, 1955, in Oregon. A resident for eight years, he was a graphic artist.

He is survived by his parents, Nadine and Theodore Minfer of Gold Hill, Ore.

Barbara J. Morga

Barbara J. Morga, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born July 1, 1922, in New York.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; and one daughter, Carol Rich of Syracuse, N.Y.

Harry Nelson Pewitt

Harry Nelson Pewitt, 56, of Memphis, Tenn., died Feb. 28 in Colorado. He was born Oct. 31, 1947, in Fulton, Ky. A former Mount Charleston resident, he was an attorney, an Army captain and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by one half-brother, Jay Pewitt.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine; one son, Stephen Pewitt of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one daughter, Hunter Kathryn Pewitt of Las Vegas; his mother, Nell Pewitt of Memphis, Tenn.; his father, Harold Pewitt of Fulton, Ky.; one half-sister, Donna Pewitt Garland of Fulton.

Milbon Sampson

Milbon Sampson, 79, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born May 14, 1924, in Cottonport, La. A resident for 52 years, he was a custodian and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Mary L. Sampson of Las Vegas, Vera L. Sampson and Everlean L. Sampson; one son, Sammy L. Sampson; three sisters, Elizabeth Davis, Elsie Wells and Joana Warsaw; one brother, Edward Sampson; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-6 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Warren William Siem

Warren William Siem, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. An airline pilot, he was born April 1, 1922, in Davenport, Iowa.

He is survived by one son, Sean Siem of Tacoma, Wash.; and three daughters, Leslie Fish of Texas, Christie Colegrove of Washington state and Martie Siem of Chicago.

Jimmy Sorrick

Jimmy Sorrick, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Lakeview, Ga. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired Army master sergeant, a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Whorley Masonic Lodge 601.

He is survived by his wife, Margarete; three daughters, Karolyn DeArmond of Las Vegas, Kathy Sorrick Newborg of Tacoma, Wash., and Christine Bridges of Visalia, Calif.; one son, Jimmy L. Sorrick of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Edward Sorrick Jr. of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Rosa Celina Villafuerte

Rosa Celina Villafuerte, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Quito, Ecuador. A resident for 32 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Elsa Villafuerte of Las Vegas; four sons, Oswaldo Villafuerte of Quito and Carlos Villafuerte, Sergio Villafuerte and Edgar Villafuerte, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Laura Pena Herrera of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
