Three more Mongols plead not guilty

Three more Mongols indicted in the melee at the 2002 Laughlin River Run entered not-guilty pleas Friday before District Judge Donald Mosley.
Kenneth Dysart, 41, Victor Ramirez, 29, and Benjamin Leyva, all members of the Mongols motorcycle gang, appeared before Mosley.
Mosley set bail for Dysart at $500,000 and gave him two weeks to come up with the money. Dysart had already posted $250,000 bail in Justice Court after being arrested for the charges in Ventura, Calif., and extradited to Nevada a few weeks ago.
Mosley set bail for Leyva and Ramirez at $150,000 apiece. Their attorneys said they planned to walk the men over to the jail and post bail immediately. A warrant remained outstanding on Pedro Martinez, Jr., 24, a fourth Mongol added to the amended indictment last week.
The men are charged with 251 counts, including murder, in connection with the Laughlin fight that left two Hell's Angels gang members and one Mongol dead. Two other Mongols and seven Hell's Angels have previously been indicted and posted bail on the same charges.
Metro Police officers provided additional security and guarded the front doors of the courtroom and every door leading toward Mosley's courtroom for the bail hearing. Only about half a dozen Mongols came to the court in support of Dysart, Ramirez and Leyva.
