Moore’s Web site criticizes Aladdin after Ronstadt removal

In a newsletter posted on his Web site (www.michaelmoore.com) Monday evening, controversial documentary filmmaker Michael Moore posted a letter he sent to Aladdin President Bill Timmins in which he addressed the removal of Linda Ronstadt from the hotel Saturday evening.
Timmins ordered security guards to escort Ronstadt off Aladdin Hotel property after the pop diva dedicated her encore song, "Desperado," to Moore. The hotel president also sent word that Ronstadt was no longer welcome at the hotel for future performances.
"For you to throw Linda Ronstadt off the premises because she dared to say a few words in support of me and my film, is simply stupid and un-American," Moore said in the letter. "For crying out loud, it was a song dedication."
Moore continued, "Of all the things that go on in Las Vegas, this is what creates the need for serious action? ... I think you owe Ms. Ronstadt an apology."
In the letter, Moore proposes to Timmins a way to "make it up" to Ronstadt, "and the millions of American's you have offended."
"Invite her back and I'll join her in singing 'America the Beautiful' on your stage," Moore wrote. "Then I will show 'Fahrenheit 9/11' free of charge to all your guests and anyone else in Las Vegas who wants to see it."
Timmons refused to comment Moore's offer this morning and referred all calls to a spokesperson, who did not return phone calls from the Sun.
Moore did not respond to an e-mail request for an interview.
