Memorial is set for Laxalt

CARSON CITY -- A memorial service has been set for Thursday in Reno for Jackalyn Laxalt, Nevada's first lady from 1967 to 1971.
She died Saturday at the age of 77.
Jackalyn was married for 25 years to former governor and Sen. Paul Laxalt until their divorce in 1972.
She is survived by six children, a dozen grandchildren and brother John Tom Ross of Carson City.
Gov. Kenny Guinn said Monday that Jackalyn was a "very special first lady" who brought both flair and a great sense of humor to the (governor's) mansion."
The service is at 10 a.m. in the St. Therese of the Little Flower Roman Catholic Church.
