A DVD containing footage taken during the 2002 gun battle between rival motorcycle gangs at a Laughlin casino was ordered sealed Friday during a hearing before U.S. District Judge James Mahan.
The order came during a hearing on a motion to release Raymond Foakes, one of 42 Hells Angels facing racketeering charges in connection with the brawl that left three dead at Harrah's Laughlin.
Foakes was ordered released to another member of the Hells Angels who will act as a third-party custodian until the matter goes to trial later this year. Foakes will be confined to the custodian's home in Reno and will be monitored electronically by federal officers.
Of the 42 defendants in the case, all but three have been released under the supervision of federal officers pending trial.
The defendants are charged with 10 counts each of violence in the aid of racketeering and one firearms charge in connection with the April 27, 2002, brawl during the annual Laughlin River Run motorcycle rally.
Two Hells Angels and one member of the Mongols motorcycle gang were shot and killed in the bar area of the casino. Twelve others were hurt.
