Trial set in killing of prosecutor’s sister

A 25-year-old man said Tuesday that he is not guilty of the shotgun slaying of the sister of a Clark County prosecutor.

Sean Sales is charged with murder with a weapon, attempted robbery, two counts of robbery, and two counts of burglary in connection to the killing of 25-year-old Andrea Hendricks.

On Tuesday, Sales' trial was set for June 14 before District Judge Michelle Leavitt.

Leavitt said Sales will remain in jail with no bail amount set until Sales' lawyer, Frank Cremen, files a written motion on the issue with the court.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Robert Daskas said the district attorney's office is still currently talking with Metro Police detectives to determine if Sales should also be charged in connection with the violent death of 41-year-old James Stone. Sales had lived with Stone.

Daskas said if Sales is charged with Stone's murder, the district attorney's office will seek the death penalty for Sales.

Hendricks was found dead on Nov. 4 in a home at the 5300 block of Images Court near Decatur Boulevard and Meadows Lane. Her brother is Chief Deputy District Attorney Craig Hendricks.

Sales was arrested on Nov. 7 on allegations that he murdered Hendricks. He was harrested the same day Stone was found shot dead in is home on Buffalo Drive near Grand Teton Drive.
