As anyone who works for a living knows, the American economy is on the wrong track. We need to reverse the process of outsourcing jobs to foreign countries. The benefits that corporations receive from sending jobs overseas must come to a halt. The tax code should be used to benefit those companies that create higher-paying jobs here at home and penalize those that engage in outsourcing.
We cannot replace existing high-paying jobs with low-paying, service-sector jobs. Americans need jobs that will allow them to pay the mortgage, pay for health care, send their children to college, save for retirement and enjoy the fruits of their labor.
John Kerry's program, when implemented, will accomplish these goals. His approach is business and labor friendly and will put this country on the right track with a strong, growing economy.
