Jewelry could help ID body

Metro Police are hoping that jewelry on a burned woman found dead Tuesday can help authorities identify her. Medical examiners removed three pieces of jewelry from the woman, a cross and two other charms. They were around the victim's neck. Authorities believe the victim is an adult black female with a small build. She was found by a construction worker at the site of a new housing development near Boulder Highway, just west of the Sam Boyd Stadium. Anyone with information about the woman should call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or the homicide section at 229-3521.
