Las Vegas continues to be the most popular location for a convention or trade show, a trade publication reported.
Tradeshow Week said Las Vegas remains atop the Tradeshow Week 200, a list of the top 200 shows by exhibit space conducted in 2003. The publication will report in Friday's edition that Las Vegas played host to 38 of the top 200 shows and had exhibit space totalling 16.9 million square feet.
Las Vegas outpaced Chicago, which had 27 shows with 8.8 million square feet, and Orlando, which had 17 shows with 5.2 million square feet.
Las Vegas held an industry-leading 27.4 percent market share for net square footage of the nation's major trade shows. It was the 10th straight year that Las Vegas led the nation in hosting conventions and trade shows.
