Letter: Losing sleep over Iraq stalemate
Tuesday, April 13, 2004 | 8:50 a.m.
Thousands of Americans died in Korea for a stalemate that is still going on. In Vietnam, thousands more died, and for what? At this writing, more than 660 young Americans have died in Iraq. Do any of you out there lose any sleep knowing when you wake up tomorrow, more service people will be dead?
Your main concern is the price of gasoline, your Hollywood image, your never-ending diet, your upcoming divorce, your must-have illegal drugs.
Have no fear, we have a president who knows combat and will make the right decisions for us all. If he can't, he can ask the same type of civilians that called the shots in Vietnam. I guess we can blame Clinton for this mess, or better still, George Washington.
