Letter: Guinn sells out by boosting Bush
Friday, Sept. 19, 2003 | 4:31 a.m.
Your editorial of Sept. 14 was right on! In it, you criticized Gov. Kenny Guinn for supporting the re-election campaign of President Bush, despite the president's plan to send the nation's nuclear waste to Yucca Mountain.
So the governor has become a member of the Pinocchio Squad and is on his way to Stromboli's marionette theater.
I suppose this confirms that Gov. Guinn has sold out every concerned Southern Nevadan by supporting those who railroaded through the questionable nuclear waste storage program.
When elected officials put politics over promise, principles and the people, they should be concerned about their political future.
