The Thrifty Car Rental franchise at McCarran International is being sold to Thrifty's corporate parent, the company said Monday.
Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc., Tulsa, Okla., has signed an agreement with Qualcar LLC, owned and operated by David Rosen, to acquire most of the assets of the franchise operation, which has a fleet of 1,950 vehicles.
Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close Nov. 1, were not disclosed.
Jay Foley, executive vice president of corporate operations for DTG, said Monday that Thrifty customers would see virtually no difference in operations and that all of the franchise's approximately 100 employees would be retained.
