Letter: Citizens must be more informed
Monday, Sept. 15, 2003 | 8:41 a.m.
I would like to applaud Ruth DiMaggio for the letters she has written, including her Sept. 5 letter, in support of a truly great president by the name of Bill Clinton.
I would also like to recommend to all Clinton critics -- if they think they can handle the truth -- a best-selling book by Al Franken titled, "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right." The things President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and the rest of that bunch have done and are still doing make Bill Clinton a saint by comparison.
DiMaggio was right on when she said some Americans should become more informed and should check out their facts before spewing out false partisan nonsense. Franken's book does just that. It is written based on fact, not the lies and half-truths the Bush administration is so fond of using.
