Letter: MDA volunteers show true spirit once again
Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003 | 9:02 a.m.
Over the Labor Day weekend the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon took place. It was an event to remember. More than 300 volunteers showed up locally to help make this event one of the best. Every year MDA relies on these volunteers to help make this event successful. This year was no exception. From serving refreshments to taking phone calls, the true spirit of these volunteers was displayed. Once again KLAS Channel 8 and its staff did a great job of airing the telethon.
As a client of MDA, it means so much to me to see these individuals support "Jerry's Kids." All the money raised makes it possible for me and other clients to continue clinic visits as well as other critical needs that MDA provides at no charge to any client.
In closing I would like to thank all of these wonderful volunteers from the Las Vegas area who have given so much to make our lives a little better.
