Woman killed in store ID’d

A woman who was killed Tuesday during a robbery of a downtown jewelry store has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Juana Maria Quiroga, 86, of Las Vegas.
Quiroga and her daughter, Elisa Del Prado, 65, were beaten with a hammer Tuesday morning inside World Merchants-Importers at 310 Carson Ave. Del Prado was in critical condition this morning at University Medical Center.
An employee of the store, Avetis Archanian, 46, was arrested in connection with the attack. He is being held in the Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder, attempted murder and robbery.
