A pilot and passenger were injured when a small airplane crashed Sunday night at the North Las Vegas Airport.
The crash occurred about 10 p.m. The Piper Malibu missed the runway and landed in the dirt, Deborah Millet, spokeswoman for the Clark County Department of Aviation, said.
The victims were taken to University Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Their names were not released.
Millet said it's not clear why the plane crashed. The National Transportation Safety Bureau is investigating.
Airport operations were not affected by the crash, Millet said.
