William Borman
William Borman, 45, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 16, 1958, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant and Desert Storm veteran and a member of the National Association of Uniform Services.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his parents, Lois and Richard Borman of New York; and two sisters, Lauren Renken of Minneapolis and Tamara Flynn of New York.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Concetta Green
Concetta Green, 81, of Las Vegas died Oct. 13.
She is survived by one sister, Alba Dandrea of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and two friends, Frances Guletto and Dolores Laverty, both of Las Vegas.
Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.
Thomas H. Jones
Thomas H. Jones, 72, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 23, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for four years, he was a retired maintenance engineer for a secondary school and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve M.; two sons, Thomas R. Jones of Crete, Ill., and David C. Jones of Genoa, Ill.; one daughter, Jacqueline S. McKamey of Henderson; one brother, Bob Jones of Liverpool, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Robert L. Korin
Robert L. Korin, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 5, 1937, in Great Falls, Mont. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired manager in the gaming industry and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Christina; four daughters, Karen Chang, Deanna Korin and Kim Gangemi, all of Las Vegas, and Kristina Gangemi of Boston; three sons, Kenneth Korin and Keith Korin, both of Las Vegas, and Doug Hash of Carson City; two brothers, Bill Korin of Oregon and Greg Korin of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Daniel Robert Minga
Daniel Robert Minga, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Wisconsin. A resident for 20 years, he was a satellite systems engineer, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel Jr. and Gregory; three daughters, Vickie Moore, Michele Valdez and Margo Stevens; one brother, Bill Minga; one sister, Eleanor Cieszynski; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Bob L. Rigdon
Bob L. Rigdon, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 14, 1935, in Cincinnati. A resident for four years, he was a self-employed painter and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one brother, Michael Rigdon of Las Vegas; and one sister, Shirley Fiorini of Springfield, Ohio.
No local services are scheduled. Interment will be in Cincinnati. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Robert Kenneth Rios
Robert Kenneth Rios, 36, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 4, 1967, in Oklahoma City. A resident for one year, he was a mover.
He is survived by his companion, Brenda Shanahan, and one son, Dalton Rios, both of Las Vegas.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Sharon Kaye Saunders
Sharon Kaye Saunders, 42, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born in West Virginia. A resident for four years, she was an office assistant in the health and human resources industry.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy S. Kidd, and her parents, Lorenzo R. and Sadie Viola (Hostin) Sanders, all of Beckley, W.Va.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Lawrence 'Sarvin Marvin' Skougard
Lawrence "Sarvin Marvin" Skougard, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1933, in Parowan, Utah. A resident for 51 years, he was an Army veteran and a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Maurine G.; three sons, Glen Skougard of Richfield, Utah, and Gary Skougard and Mark Skougard, both of Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8:30 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the LDS Christy Lane chapel. Burial will be in Utah.
Phomma Thyboualoy
Phomma Thyboualoy, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for four months, he was born March 15, 1932, in Laos.
He is survived by his wife, Oua; three daughters, Samlee Kaunsap and Som Thyboualoy, both of Worthington, Minn., and Sonia Thompson of Las Vegas; three sons, Tom Thyboualoy, Tean Thyboualoy and Charley Thyboualoy, all of Worthington; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Worthington. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
