Arts Council offers grants workshops
The Nevada Arts Council is offering three workshops next week on grant-writing techniques.
A workshop called "Guerrilla Grantwriting for Arts Organizations" will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 22 at Paseo Verde Public Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, and Oct. 23 at the Nevada State Museum in Lorenzi Park.
The council is sponsoring another workshop 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Call (775) 687-6680 or see www.NevadaCulture.org.
Pharmacy college fund-raiser set
The Nevada College of Pharmacy will hold its second annual scholarship fund-raising dinner beginning with a silent auction at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Monte Carlo.
A keynote address will be delivered by Rep. Jon Porter, R-Nev., and the scheduled guest speaker is Las Vegas Councilwoman Lynette Boggs McDonald.

Sun City Summerlin
will hold its 14th annual sale from 7 a.m.to noon Saturday at Mountain Shadows Community Center, 9107 Del Webb Boulevard. Call 966-1425.
The Fall Crafts Faire
will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in front of the Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway. Call 564-7663.
