James L. Bowers Sr.
James L. Bowers Sr., 57, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1946, in Howe, Okla. A resident for seven months, he was a gardener at a country club.
He is survived by one son, James Bowers Jr. of Dinuba, Calif.; two daughters, Bonita Roles and Rachell Bowers, both of Antioch, Calif.; his companion, Barbara Pena of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Richard Joseph Farrer
Richard Joseph Farrer, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1937, in New York City. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired electronics technician.
He is survived by his wife, Elba Febles, and one daughter, Betty McKenna, both of North Las Vegas; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Betty Denise Fuller
Betty Denise Fuller, 50, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 2, 1953, in Texas. A resident for 19 years, she was a telegram clerk.
She is survived by one son, James Curtis Fuller of Texas; three daughters, Stacy Louise Fuller, Heather Denise Espinoza and Anjelica Denise Hernandez, five brothers, Billy Don Buford, Terry Buford, Eugene Buford, Tony Buford and Allen Buford, and three sisters, Peggy Oldham, Sharon Buford and Becky Ivey, all of Texas; and one grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
William F. McBride
William F. McBride, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 11 years, he was an electrician for the state government and a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Donna Berringer of St. Peter's, Fla., Carol Callahan of Land O' Lakes, Fla., and Diane DiMarco of San Clemente, Calif.; five sons, Randy McBride of Land O' Lakes, Scott McBride and Tommy McBride, both of Chicago, Chuck Myers of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Chris Myers of Las Vegas; two sisters, Margaret Becker and Nancy Campbell, both of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Jimmy McBride of York, Pa., and Richard McBride of Dallas; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday in Three Crown Mobile Home Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Las Vegas Humane Society, 2250 E. Tropicana Ave., Suite 19, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Eugene Mitchell
Eugene Mitchell, 75, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 14, 1928, in Bastrop, La. He was a retired laborer, a World War II and Korean War Army veteran and a member of St. Marks Masonic Lodge No. 1.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria; one stepdaughter, Sonya Jordan, and two stepsons, Fouston Jordan and Vincent Jordan, all of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Lewis L. Penny and Lyscat Wassi, both of California; and two godchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Tuesday with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Additional services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Darleen Margaret Thompson
Darleen Margaret Thompson, 74, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. She was born June 5, 1929, in California. A resident of Southern Nevada for 27 years, she was a retired bank teller.
She is survived by one son, Daniel Trentham of Los Angeles; two daughters, Leigh Schmucker and Erin Thompson, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Slatten of Blue Canyon, Calif., and John Slatten of Littleton, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Leonard V. Wadsworth
Leonard V. Wadsworth, 61, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 23, 1941, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired aircraft fueler.
He is survived by his parents, Melba and Leonard V. Wadsworth Sr., and two sisters, Andrea Vaden and Denise Rios, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the LDS East Stake Center, 4040 E. Wyoming Ave.
