Eleanor K. Atson

Eleanor K. Atson, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 11 years, she was born Aug. 22, 1925, in the Bronx, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Atson; and one sister, Florence Evans of Rome, N.Y.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Leona Bloomer

Leona Bloomer, 89, of Boulder City died May 15 in a local hospital. She was born July 31, 1913, in Pasadena, Calif. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired teacher and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; one daughter, Nancy Barela of Payson, Ariz.; one son, Robert Snow of Clear Lake, Calif.; one brother, Bob Mendenhall of Borego Springs, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Hurtt and Mary Garske, both of Long Beach, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Burial was scheduled May 22 in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Peter Christiansen

Peter Christiansen, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 3, 1941, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for four years, he was a retired computer program manager and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, John Jeffrey Christiansen of San Dimas, Calif.; his stepmother, Alicia Christiansen, and one sister, Karen Wilson, both of Sylmar, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Levi Davis Sr.

Levi Davis Sr., 72, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 16, 1931, in St. Joseph, La. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired hotel purchasing clerk and Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Janie; one daughter, Esther Davis, and five sons, Kenneth Davis, Brian Patrick Davis, Craig Davis, Levi Davis Jr. and Darrell Davis, all of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Rosie Crawford of Arkansas, Willie Davis and Nancy Davis, both of Tallulah, La.; one brother, Minor Davis of Hammond, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

Sonja S. Faria, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 17, 1940, in Portland, Ore. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker and a member of Celebrity City Sweet Adelines.

She is survived by her husband, George Jr.; two daughters, Michell Warren of Phoenix and Sheryl Burkhardt of Gresham, Ore.; two sons, George Faria III of Las Vegas and Eric Faria of Santa Margarita, Calif.; one sister, Debbie Peru of Vancouver, Wash.; three brothers, David Weitzel of Sandy, Ore., Doug Weitzel of Depot Bay, Ore., and Jeff Weitzel of Vancouver; and eight grandchildren.

Richard P. Forde, 89, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 16, 1914, in Boston. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Yoshi; three sons, Richard Forde of Seattle and Donald Forde and Robbie Forde, both of California; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

James F. Gordon, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Georgia. A resident for eight years, he was a retired sheet metal worker in the maintenance industry, a World War II and Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Cornelia, Ga.

He is survived by his wife, Yoshie; one daughter, JoAnn Gordon, and one son, James F. Gordon Jr. of Las Vegas; numerous brothers and sisters, all of Georgia; and one grandchild.

Robert 'Big Bob' Henderson

Robert "Big Bob" Henderson, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 8, 1939, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired taxi driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A.; two daughters, Delphine M. Henderson and Yvonne Y. Alexander, and two sons, Robert L. Henderson Jr. and Mario R. Henderson, all of Las Vegas; one brother, William D. Henderson of Portland, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Florine Scott Hill, 74, of Las Vegas died May 19 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Oklahoma. A resident for many years, she was a medical supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; one son, Fred Hill Jr.; four sisters, Katherine Primm of Oklahoma, Lewana McDaniel of Los Angeles and Ruth Lynch and Leatha Bailey, both of Seattle; and two grandchildren.

Adelina 'Addie' Jackson

Adelina "Addie" Jackson, 73, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for four years, she was a retired librarian.

She is survived by her husband, Ervin; three sons, Charles Jackson of Morro Bay, Calif., Robert Jackson of Las Vegas and Andrew Jackson of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one daughter, Merita Hines of Honolulu; and five grandchildren.

Alfred Earl Jones, 76, of Las Vegas died April 17 in Las Vegas. An Army veteran, he was born Jan. 31, 1927.

Ida M. Kelderhouse, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Moose Lodge.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet Ramie of Turtle Lake, Wis., and Linda Kelderhouse and Joyce Swenson, both of Chicago; one son, John Adolph of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Lerena Koran, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 29, 1929, in Idaho. A resident for 23 years, she was a hypnotherapist.

She is survived by her husband, Peter; one daughter, Michelle Ayala, her mother, Anne Sperduti, one sister, Sharon Trent, and one brother, John Sperduti, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

George R. Manning, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born June 20, 1917, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service rural carrier and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ione; one daughter, Janet McShea of Las Vegas; one son, Dr. George S. Manning of Levelland, Texas; three sisters, Louise Bennett of Richfield, Utah, Elizabeth Call of Salinas, Calif., and Mary Mortensen of St. George, Utah; one brother, William R. Manning; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Laura Manzi

Laura Manzi, 90, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Bologna, Italy. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Raymond Manzi of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Norma Veronesi of New York and Jean McIntosh of New Jersey.

Sheryl A. McDonald, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 6, 1933, in Love Park, Ill. She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie McDonald of Las Vegas; two sons, Alexander McDonald and Duke McDonald, both of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Crispin Morrison

Crispin Morrison, 41, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 6, 1961, in Boston. A resident for four years, she was a founder of Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Nevada, a member of Las Vegas Astronomical Society and Collaborative on Health and Environment.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Elisabeth and Bradford Williams of Las Vegas; her father and stepmother, Michael G. and Kathy Morrison of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; one brother, Adam Morrison of San Francisco; one stepsister, Lauren Williams of St. Louis; and one stepbrother, Jeffrey Williams of Elmsford, N.Y.

Jon Michael Munson, 56, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 1, 1946, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, he was a retired plasterer, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Cement Masons and Plasterers Local 797.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; two daughters, Rebecca Doyle and Mishon Randall, his father, Russell C. Munson, and one sister, Cheryl Wright, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jerry Munson of Las Vegas and Russell "Buddy" Munson Jr. of Montana; and four grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry T.; one daughter, Michelle M. Pozucek-Haehnel, and one son, Jerry R. Pozucek, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

LaMar Dale Reid Sr., 43, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A glazier, he was born Aug. 18, 1959, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by one son, LaMar Reid Jr., and his mother, Edith Reid, both of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Kathe Tefft of Las Vegas and Christie Withers of Detroit.

Albert J. "Jim" Vohs, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 23, 1936, in Blanca, Colo. A resident for three years, he was a retired engineer technician at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, Utah.

He is survived by his wife, Loida S.; three daughters, Susan Lott and Jamie England, both of Ogden, Ivy Lovato of Palmdale, Calif., and Nerissa Warney of Las Vegas; two sons, Lee Vohs of Clearfield, Utah, and Brett Vohs of Evanston, Wyo.; two sisters, Wanda Ewing of Layton, Utah, and Lola Emmermanis of Oceanside, Calif.; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
