A suburban Chicago company has acquired defunct National Airlines' inventory of Boeing 757 airplane parts and is developing a distribution center and light aircraft maintenance plant at McCarran International Airport.
Jet X Aerospace, Elk Grove Village, Ill., is developing an inventory of all types of aircraft parts and is establishing supply center locations at McCarran and at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.
Officials hope to expand to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix and Atlanta.
The company did not disclose terms of its acquisition of National's parts inventory from General Electric Capital Corp. Las Vegas-based National was in bankruptcy for nearly two years before ceasing operations in November and a judge ordered the company liquidated.
