2nd Race -- MEETMEATTHEGRILL -- Hustling Pedroza on Marquez trainee for owners Anson, draws good post for short maiden dash, Meet-me-ready-to-grill foes? JUST ME -- P. Val aboard O'Neill horse, needs prompt start and clean trip from rail post in Cal-bred outing, jockey and trainer having solid meet. Value Play -- RUBIANO'S WISH
3rd Race -- DR. DUBAI -- Flores astride Baffert trainee for owner Pegram, draws good spot here, starter allowance outing just what the Dr. ordered? BECKHAM -- Woke up with maiden score in last, Valdivia back aboard Gallagher horse, may have hit his best stride now. Value Play -- SOLDIERS QUEST
4th Race -- WEB CASTER -- Training at Santa Anita, Smith scales Spawr horse, must overcome outside post in route outing. MISS DOUBLE DOTS -- Draws good inner post for two-turn maiden/claimer, Valdivia atop Gallagher trainee, adds blinkers for this. Value Play -- MISS WINNETKA
5th Race -- POHAVE -- Just missed after attending hot pace in last, Valdivia returns on Barrera trainee for owners Jones, set to make amends.
