Letter: Big potato
Thursday, July 31, 2003 | 9:55 a.m.
After coming to Montana nine years ago from Florida State, Wayne Hogan has made numerous big-time advances in the UM athletic program including bringing in former DePaul basketball coach Pat Kennedy, hiring Bobby Hauck from Washington to run an already highly successful football program, initiating another expansion of Washington-Grizzly Stadium, ensuring the continued high graduation rate of Griz athletes, and most recently, securing Adams Arena as a regional site for next March's Women's NCAA basketball championship tournament.
The small potatoes reference may work with Idaho, but is way off the mark when talking about Montana.
