This is in reference to Las Vegas Sun Editor Brian Greenspun's July 20 column, "Petty prayers sent up."

I agree completely that God does not have a political agenda or take sides in mere human disputes. As a Christian Scientist, I believe qualities such as integrity, compassion and understanding are divinely inspired. Hence my prayers will be an affirmation that God will unfold the steps and provide the spirit of cooperation needed to realize harmonious, principled, fair and intelligent solutions to the challenges we face, whether it be in the Nevada Legislature, Africa, Iraq, or dealing with the ozone layer.
