Bus riders will have another, more comfortable link in their cross-town travels next week.
Regional Transportation Commission officials said Thursday that the South Strip Transfer Terminal, at Gilespie Street and Sunset Road, will be open July 14. The terminal is a transfer hub capable of handling more than 385 bus departures and 20,000 daily passengers, according to the RTC.
Until now, awnings and benches have served at the transfer facility for routes passing through or ending at the site.
RTC General Manager Jacob Snow said restaurants should open at the terminal later this year.
