Letter: War justifications should be probed
Friday, July 11, 2003 | 8:59 a.m.
There are persistent and disturbing questions about the Bush administration's knowledge of and use of intelligence resources to justify the war with Iraq, but where is the public outcry and where are the serious investigations?
For President Clinton's sexual activities, which had no international repercussions, caused no American deaths, and cost the taxpayers nothing except the millions wasted on the investigations, we had congressional investigations and the rabid actions of a special counsel.
For Bush's war with Iraq, which has caused hundreds of American deaths, led to serious impairment of international relationships and will cost taxpayers billions of dollars, we have silence.
