A 31-year-old shortstop and Venezuela native, Mora hit .303 at Triple-A Norfolk in 1999 and .335 in Taiwan a year earlier.

Now, he snubs Florida ace Dontrelle Willis -- who is fast becoming the phenom, and a huge drawing card, of the majors -- from next week's All-Star Game because Baker hasn't seen Willis pitch.

The only thing more amazing than Willis not being there is Baker's admission of his ignorance.

His 7.77 ERA washed him out of Detroit last year, but he improved to 4-0, cutting his ERA to 3.06.

At Dodger Stadium last weekend, it looked like a Triple-A series pitting the Sidewinders against the 51s. Well, one team has overcome injury and ineptitude. (Hint -- not the Dodgers.) Arizona can make up more ground this weekend.
