Insurer’s profit grows

Employers Insurance Co. of Nevada on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $13.9 million, up from the profit of $7.5 million reported in the same 2002 quarter.
Premiums written in the most-recent quarter reached $90.2 million, up from $54.2 million a year ago.
The company, the leading writer of workers' compensation insurance premiums in Nevada, also reported assets of $1.4 billion and a policyholder surplus of $300 million.
