Young broadcasters tout Games
Monday, Aug. 18, 2003 | 9:14 a.m.
The Greater Las Vegas Inner-City Games' Junior Broadcasters debuted two new public service announcements created by students who participated in the program.
The announcements promote the Inner-City Games goal to provide after-school programming and the Clark County Reads Literacy program.
The students wrote the scripts, produced, edited, directed and stared in the advertisements.
The Junior Broadcasters celebrated their accomplishments last week in a ceremony at the Ice House Lounge downtown with local officials and sponsors.
The Inner-City Games provides youth with year-round programs in education, culture and sports as an alternative to gangs, drugs and violence.
