Students, officials to discuss government
Government leaders will participate in Government Day panel discussions Friday with student interns in the Clark CountySummer Business Institute.
The goal of the two panel discussions at the County Governement Center -- 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on business and industry and 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on social issues -- is to help students understand how local government functions, as well as allow the students the opportunity to ask government leaders about important issues facing youth.

Other government officials on the panels are: Ken LoBene, Department of Housing and Urban Development; Las Vegas Councilman Lawrence Weekly; Assemblyman Morse Arberry; Sheriff Bill Young; state Sen.
