'Bat Boy'
Las Vegas Little Theatre presents the musical 'Bat Boy' at 8 p.m. Monday and Thursday at 3844 Schiff Lane. Tickets are $10. 362-7996.
Flamenco
American Flamenco Theater presents "Ole, Lively & Fun!," a program of Spanish and Mexican dance and music, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Tickets are $3 for adults and children. 455-7340.
Gilmore in concert
Jimmie Dale Gilmore will bring his blend of traditional country, folk, blues and rock to the Clark County Government Center Ampitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy., at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate, free to those 12 and younger. 455-8200.
Music festival
The works of Strauss, Schumann, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven will reverberate throughout the city during the Las Vegas Music Festival, which begins this week with the following performances. For information, call 895-2787:

Piano recital by Juilliard School faculty member Jerome Lowenthal -- 3 p.m. Sunday at Rando Recital Hall. Tickets are $8 and $5.
Piano recital by Guest artist Vladmir Shakin -- 4 p.m. Tuesday, Rando Recital Hall. Tickets are $8 and $5.
Festival Brass Concert -- 8 p.m. Tuesday, Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. Tickets are $8 and $5.
UNLV faculty chamber music -- 8 p.m. Wednesday, Summerlin Library Theater, 1771 Inner Circle Drive. Tickets are $8 and $5.
Young artists chamber music -- 8 p.m. Thursday, West Charleston Library Theater, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd. Admission is free.
Jazz
Local jazz guitarist/vocalist Calvin Brooks will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Thursday at Starbucks, 651 N. Rainbow Road. The performances are free. 340-9391 or 499-4110.
Concert series
Central Christian Church offers a free weekly series entitled, "Hot Summer Nights," at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday throughout the summer at 1001 New Beginnings Drive. 735-4004.
Christian rock
Ascension, a contemporary Christian rock band, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Pkwy. The performances are free. 454-8484.
Amateur night
The Beach is now hosting a "Local Band Night" at 9 p.m. every Thursday at 365 Convention Center Drive. The event is free for both participating bands and patrons. 731-1925.

Outdoor theater
The State Parks Cultural Arts Board presents "Smokey Joe's Cafe," the third play in its "Super Summer Theatre 2003" series, at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, 18 miles west on Charleston Boulevard in Red Rock Canyon. Tickets are $7. 594-7529 or 895-2787.
