Corazon Acayan

Corazon Acayan, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 13, 1933, in the Philippines. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired administrator at a rest home and former president of the Agila Lions Club.

She is survived by four daughters, Marianne Kilates of Vallejo, Calif., Beverly Molloy, Valerie Acayan and Judith O'Riley, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Michael Acayan, Andrew Acayan and Paul Acayan, all of Las Vegas; her stepmother, Rosario Manlapaz of the Philippines; seven sisters, Josephine Garcia, Henrietta Enano, Aurora Coronel, Erlinda Ruiz and Consuelo Alzate, all of the Philippines, Elizabeth Soriano of Danbury, Conn., and Virginia Oledan of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Manlapaz of San Francisco; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Elnora E. Buck

Elnora E. Buck, 36, died Monday in Beatrice, Kan. A former Las Vegas resident, she was born April 26, 1967, in Winfield, Kan.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Holloway of Beatrice and Marjorie Snake of Huntingdon, Pa.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis' Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Roxann L. Hill

Roxann L. Hill, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A resident for 38 years, she was born Feb. 25, 1957, in Montana.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lorraine C. Hire

Lorraine C. Hire, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 24, 1923, in Carpio, N.D. A resident for 58 years, she was a bookkeeper in the automotive industry.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Bobbie White of Fresno, Calif.; one brother, Butch Buttedahl of Florida; one sister, Mable Buttedahl of Washington state; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Ruby Johns

Ruby Johns, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 26, 1909, in Asher, Okla. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Johns of Las Vegas and Carl Johns of Garden Grove, Calif.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Leon Levine

Leon Levine, 66, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born March 14, 1937, in Detroit. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired architect and developer, a member of B'Nai B'Rith and International Council of Shopping Centers.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons, Greg Levine of Henderson and Bradley Levine of New York City; one daughter, Julie Levine-Slee of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Sandy Montrose of Chatsworth, Calif., and Debra Montrose of Northridge, Calif.; one stepson, Scott Montrose of Las Vegas; one brother, Michael Levine of Fresno, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in King David Cemetery.

Alan W. Lockwood

Alan W. Lockwood, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 20, 1938, in Covina, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a retired general manager for a waste management company.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene S.; two daughters, Chandra Wiggle of San Dimas, Calif., and Tiffany Lockwood of Riverside, Calif.; three stepsons, David Lowery of Dallas, Robert Lowery of Fontana, Calif., and Michael Lowery of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Charlene Gue of San Jacinto, Calif.; two sisters, Lois Waters of Encinitas, Calif., and Lorraine Scott of San Diego; and 12 grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ronald Muldrew

Ronald Muldrew, 43, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1959, in Arizona. A resident for 10 years, he was a security officer.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Flore Muldrew; five sons, Gabriel Muldrew of Arizona, Pedro Montes, Ronnie Muldrew, Gabriel Muldrew and Anthony Muldrew, all of Las Vegas; seven daughters, Vanessa Montes, Mary F. Correa, BeLinda F. Muldrew, Christina R. Muldrew and Desirea F. Muldrew, all of Las Vegas and Shelley N. Muldrew and Tanya M. Muldrew, both of Arizona; his parents, LeeDell and Linda Muldrew of Arizona; and one sister, Tammy Dixon of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in Arizona. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive is handling arrangements.

Veronica Victorina Pavelle

Veronica Victorina Pavelle, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, John J. Jr.; one daughter, Jill Gorman; two sons, Jack Pavelle and Tim Pavelle; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Orthodox Church, 5400 Annie Oakley Drive, Henderson. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

The family suggests donations to the Arthritis Foundation of Nevada, 2450 Chandler Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89120.

Charlene Watts

Charlene Watts, 49, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 3, 1954, in Loma Linda, Calif. A resident for 29 years, she was a supervisor in the telecommunications industry.

She is survived by her mother, Lucille Watts of Victorville, Calif.; her companion, Robert Estus of North Las Vegas; one sister, Lynn Watts of Berkeley, Calif.; and two brothers, John Watts of Victorville, Calif., and Edward Watts of Apple Valley, Calif.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the LDS Chapel, Jones Blvd. and Cartier Ave. Private graveside services will be in Victorville. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
