UNLV sophomore Jacqueline Kerrigan has been named the Mountain West Conference softball pitcher of the week.
Making her first start since suffering a broken nose two weeks ago, Kerrigan threw a four-hit shutout against league-leading San Diego State, snapping the Aztecs' 13-game winning streak and perfect conference record. The victory was Kerrigan's 15th of the season, eighth by shutout, and first by any MWC pitcher against SDSU.
The award marks the third time the Rebels' ace has been so honored in her career.
